Pero para entender c\u00f3mo la meditaci\u00f3n con mantras puede ser eficaz para controlar la mente, tenemos que hacer una distinci\u00f3n entre la mente del meditador y el propio meditador. Es una distinci\u00f3n sutil, pero muy importante, porque es el yo consciente quien medita activamente, enfocando la mente.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Al principio, puede resultar dif\u00edcil reconocer que nuestras mentes son diferentes de nosotros mismos, porque estamos muy acostumbrados a entretenernos con los caprichos de nuestra mente. La distinci\u00f3n se me hizo m\u00e1s clara cuando contempl\u00e9 mi lucha personal contra la enfermedad de mi mente. Cuando ten\u00eda 16 a\u00f1os, sufr\u00ed lo que los psic\u00f3logos llaman un episodio depresivo grave. Durante los cinco a\u00f1os siguientes, luch\u00e9 por entender lo que me ocurr\u00eda y c\u00f3mo cambiarlo. Sent\u00eda que mi mente hab\u00eda sido secuestrada y, de forma significativa, experiment\u00e9 una abrumadora sensaci\u00f3n de no ser yo misma.<br><\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"alignright size-large is-resized\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.chantnow.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/silhouette-of-man-sitting-on-grass-field-at-daytime-775417-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-23152\" width=\"301\" height=\"200\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>En aquel momento, no sab\u00eda nada sobre la naturaleza de la mente y que, en realidad, era diferente de m\u00ed. Desde entonces he aprendido mucho, y me ha ayudado a dar sentido a mi experiencia con la depresi\u00f3n. La puerta a una curaci\u00f3n profunda se abri\u00f3 cuando dej\u00e9 de identificarme con mi mente y su trastorno.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Es interesante observar que cuando hablamos de la mente decimos \"mi mente\". Comprendemos intr\u00ednsecamente que, aunque nuestra mente nos pertenece, tambi\u00e9n est\u00e1 en cierto modo separada de nosotros. Para alguien que ha sufrido multitud de \"disfunciones mentales\", esto supone un gran alivio. Si no soy mi mente, significa que tengo la capacidad de influir conscientemente en mi mente.<br><\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"alignleft size-large is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.chantnow.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/photo-of-woman-looking-upwards-2591431-614x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-23158\" width=\"178\" height=\"295\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>El conocimiento de la mente, el cuerpo y el yo consciente (a menudo denominado esp\u00edritu o alma) se describe con detalle y claridad en el texto cl\u00e1sico indio Bhagavad-gita. El Bhagavad-gita trata de la ciencia espiritual y revela mucho sobre la naturaleza de nuestros cuerpos, nuestras mentes y nuestro propio yo consciente. Sobre la mente, dice<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><strong>\"Para quien ha conquistado la mente, la mente es el mejor de los amigos; pero para quien no lo ha logrado, su mente seguir\u00e1 siendo el mayor enemigo\". - Bhagavad-gita 6.6<\/strong><br><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>Este verso implica que la mente est\u00e1 naturalmente supeditada al individuo al que pertenece, igual que un ni\u00f1o est\u00e1 naturalmente supeditado a sus padres. Pero cuando la mente es bombardeada constantemente con distracciones a trav\u00e9s de los sentidos, se convierte en un ni\u00f1o malcriado que se niega a seguir las instrucciones de sus padres. La meditaci\u00f3n, que es la base de cualquier pr\u00e1ctica y\u00f3guica, ayuda al practicante a controlar la mente inquieta. Considera el siguiente verso:<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\"<strong>De dondequiera que la mente vague debido a su naturaleza vacilante e inestable, uno debe ciertamente retirarla y traerla de vuelta bajo el control del yo.\" Bhagavad-gita 6.26<\/strong><br><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>Aqu\u00ed se describe la mente como \"parpadeante e inestable\". En realidad, necesita la direcci\u00f3n de la inteligencia superior del individuo para funcionar eficazmente. Un aspecto de la eficacia de la meditaci\u00f3n con mantras reside en su capacidad innata de hacer que la mente del practicante tome conciencia del momento presente. La t\u00e9cnica consiste simplemente en escuchar cada s\u00edlaba del mantra mientras se canta. Y cuando la mente divague (como sin duda ocurrir\u00e1), volver a centrar la atenci\u00f3n en el sonido.<br><\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"alignright size-large is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.chantnow.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/Srila-Prabhupada.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-23157\" width=\"347\" height=\"217\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>El santo de nuestros d\u00edas, AC Bhaktivedanta Swami, destaca la sencillez de esta t\u00e9cnica:  \"\u00bfQu\u00e9 es controlar la mente? Hay que cantar y escuchar. Eso es todo. Hay que cantar con la lengua y o\u00edr el sonido. Eso es todo.  \u00bfCu\u00e1l es la cuesti\u00f3n de la mente? \"<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La mente siempre sufrir\u00e1 de descontento, igual que el cuerpo siempre sufrir\u00e1 de resfriados y gripes.
